for the "Spring into Digitization 2003" Program Sponsored by the BLC Digitization Task Force, Part II David Avery is the Collection Coordinator of Connecticut State Documents at the University of Connecticut Libraries in Storrs, CT, a position he has held since 1989. At UConn, David is also the Supervisor of the Reference Collection as well as the Coordinator of Services for Patrons with Disabilities at the Homer Babbidge Library. He is a member of and Webmaster for the Connecticut Government Documents Round Table (CT GoDoRT) and held the position of CT GoDoRT President in 1997-1998 and 2001-2002. Jessica Branco is the Project Coordinator of Boston Streets: Mapping Directory Data, an IMLS-funded project at the Digital Collections and Archives at Tufts University. She has previously worked on the Edwin C. Bolles Collection: A Digital Archive of the History and Topography of London, and other digital projects at Tufts. She has presented papers at international and regional conferences and conducted seminars on developing digital collections. Ms. Branco will earn a MS in Library and Information Science with a concentration in Archival Management from Simmons in May 2003. Susan Pyzynski is the Librarian for ILS Development and Special Collections at Brandeis University Libraries. She is currently Project Leader for a 2001-2003 IMLS grant to catalog and digitize 4,000 Honoré Daumier lithographs. She has been involved in other past digitization projects, including a collaboration with the Perseus Digital Library to digitize Brandeis' copy of Shakespeare's First Folio. |
