24X7 Reference Service
Plan a 24/7/365 information service provided by the member institutions, or in cooperation with other consortia with similar needs and means, in order to meet defined information needs of the BLC's primary constituency groups and/or the wider scholarly community. Identify technology needed to provide this service. Develop a means of managing information resources in a shared environment. Investigate consortial opportunities available. Identify BLC institutions willing to participate in a pilot project. Identify resources needed to participate. Determine methods to evaluate and assess viability of project. This is viewed as a two-part project with the pilot's implementation to begin in July 2002.
