Copyright in the Digital Age
*December 14, 10am-12pm, Rabb Lecture Hall, BPL*
Coffee will be served outside of Rabb at 9:30am, please no food or drink in the auditorium.

Ongoing changes and technological advances have changed how documents are published and the concept of what is published. Also, changes in national and international copyright laws have compounded the issues. Oakley will discuss the current state of copyright and issues of interest to the academic community in his presentation, "Whose Rights and Who's Right: Copyright in the Digital Age."

Oakley served previously as Director of the Library and Associate Professor at the Boston University School of Law. He served two terms on the Executive Board of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) and as its president for the 2001 term. As the AALL's Washington Affairs representative, Oakley works on a wide variety of issues ranging from access to government information to censorship on the information networks and telecommunications reform.
