What is a Consortium Card? How do I get one?
Boston Library Consortium Cards are used to gain access to, and to borrow from,
member libraries of the consortium. Consortium Cards are available to faculty,
staff and students of the BLC's academic member institutions, and to staff and
patrons -- on a limited basis -- of the State Library of Massachusetts and the
Boston Public Library.
If you are affiliated with a BLC member institution, contact the reference desk at your institution's library for more information about obtaining a Consortium Card. Patrons of the Boston Public Library should call the General Reference Department of the Central Library (617-536-5400) or come to the General Reference Desk in the Washington Room, 2nd Floor, McKim Building, to discuss specific research needs and to request a consortium card application.
